Antique books

Over the weekend we stopped in at our favorite antique store to chat with friends and catch up on all the current events. On the way out I spotted these two books sitting on the counter that the store owner recently acquired. Of course I couldn’t resist them….they are beautiful and for only $17 I had to have them. One of the books had a few issues….the spine was coming apart. So, I glued it back together and while waiting for it to dry I opened the book to read a few pages and found a price of $120 for set of 2 written in pencil on one of the pages. So, I think I got a good deal?

After gluing one of the books I set them on the floor until I had time to decide where I would display them. Funny thing is…..I sort of like them here! Not to mention it prevents two cute little dogs from walking between the sofa and table and wiping their faces on the sofa as they pass by!

Hope everyone had a great weekend? The weather was absolutely perfect here which doesn’t happen very often!

Have you considered the fact that this might work another way? I am wondering if anyone else has come across something
exactly the same in the past? Let me know your thoughts...

Fabulous, Des and what a deal!

When is the Christmas Midwest Living issue coming out? I renewed my subscription after a few years absense. Been enjoying it while I wait for your feature.

Thanks for sharing the link, but unfortunately it seems to be down... Does anybody have a mirror or another source? Please reply to my post if you do!

I would appreciate if a staff member here at peekingthruthesunflowers.blogspot.com could post it.

Thanks,
Mark

I also love antique books! We have a lot of used bookstores on our coast, and they're a fun place to browse. I've found some goodies there!
