Living texture

fern 001

fern 011

fern 015

This jumbo sized fern has been living out on the porch quite happily all summer long. However,Saturday night the temps dipped down into the low 30’s and I was afraid it wouldn’t survive the cold temps so I brought it inside. I love the texture it adds to the room but with my brown thumb it probably won’t survive longer than a couple of months in the house…………..

Des, I love the shutters with the bird prints hanging on them. My ferns inside have done pretty well all summer, but not to sure if they will last.

Mine only last a couple of weeks when I bring them in, I don't think they like to be moved!

I seem to kill all my ivys but I have had 3 ferns living for over 2 years! I water once a week and they love a weekly mist too... Your fern, shutters, bird prints...love it all.

D,
Love this look. I have had a pair of shutters I took off a heap of curb side trash (yes, I really did that!) in my garage for a year waiting for the perfect project to use them in. I'm stealing this idea!
Thanks,
Lucinda

Hi Des, I love the shutters with the little bird prints. So pretty!
I have never had luck with ferns. I have two dead ones sitting outside for the garbage man to pick up.
