Bless this house…..

cross 005

A couple of months ago I picked up this gorgeous antique cross. At the time I had no idea where it would go but when I held it in my hands it gave me a really peaceful feeling so I had to buy it! I tried it in several different places and none seemed just right. Then the other day while walking down the stairs I suddenly knew this little space above the transom was the perfect spot.

The bead board seen in the picture is hung on the diagonal and is original to the house as are the stair treads. I love the way the treads are worn in the middle and chippy. You can only find charm like this in an old house………

The cross looks perfect, Des. And I love the way the bead board is hung. You have such creative taste!

I wanted to mention that I saw the article in Midwest Living. It was fabulous! Congratulations again!!

Have a wonderful week!

Jane

That's the perfect spot for the cross. I'm a sucker for beadboard, but the new stuff is just not the same.

Hello there,

I have a question for the webmaster/admin here at peekingthruthesunflowers.blogspot.com.

May I use some of the information from this post above if I give a link back to this website?

Thanks,
Jack
