A sneak peek…….

hallway2 001

The hallway has always been a challenge since first purchasing this house. It is a very generous size but with so many doorways furniture placement has always been a nightmare! Finally a few weeks ago I decided I was going to come up with something even if it killed me. I spent hours moving the furniture around while hubby was at work. (Being a man he doesn’t understand the concept of arranging furniture….he thinks you move in,place the piece in one spot, and there it stays until you die.) I still have the wall above the stairs to contend with and need to come up with a window treatment but thought you might want to see what I have been up to??!?!?! Have a great week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found treasures!

We have been working on landscaping the front of our house the last few weeks. It has been grueling to say the least…..we just aren’t as spry and energetic as we once were it seems! Anyways…..while digging in the dirt we actually found a few treasures! Normally we find chards of pottery and old tools but this time we found a medium size rusty square nail and two seashells!!!! I haven’t decided where to use the old nail yet but yesterday I cleaned up the two seashells and placed them in this silver trophy along with other finds in the cabinet in the living room. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!!!!!

A little tree…………

We planted this tree in memory of my mother after she passed away a few years ago. It started out as nothing more than  a mere little twig. With a little love though it has grown by leaps and bounds!!!! So,  every year we take a picture of Mr.. D in front of the tree to document the new growth. I am always stunned by how much it has grown each year when the new picture is taken!!!
