Books,books, and more books!

Books have always been a staple in my decorating….lately though I am really loving the look of bundled books! There is just something so appealing about the books with the spines exposed…..they just add so much texture!

Not all the books have the covers removed….some are bound in gorgeous leather!

And some are just for decorative purposes because they are so pretty!

This book was my latest find…..it is a small pocket hymnal! I do not recognize a single song though!

All of the bundled books were found with their covers already removed or the covers were in very poor condition. So, no books were harmed…………

I adore old books, too. Especially the old leather ones. I have been finding quite a few lately.

Hi Des!
I am with Kim, loving old books.
My most favorite are the marble covered ones!

Your spineless books are wonderful!
We started selling these at our little antique booth/shop. When books have lost their covers or bindings...it gives them another life! Re-purpose.
Your hall table looks amazing.

Beautiful....I just love old books. I have a problem passing them up when I go to sales,Flea Markets and the salvage stores. I always wonder just who owned these old books.
Blessings,Brenda

Gorgeous Des, and yes, I love that look too! I can't say that I've never harmed a book in making them though! :( I KNOW ... I KNOW!

lovely home -- it is always nice to see another fellow Kansan blogger -- we're in the southeast corner -- about an hour south of Overland Park.

I'm adding you to the "Friends of Linderhof" on my sidebar.
