After months of waiting the last chair has finally arrived! Now the living room is complete….for now anyways! I know everyone is probably sick of seeing pics of the living room so I promise no more for a while.
The chair looks so perfect paired with the settee, it was worth the wait!
Overall view of the living room when looking from the dining room…….

btw I am totally staying in a/c too ;)
I really love the chair, Des! This room is just stunning! Were your drapes custom made? I love the shade of blue they are!
Try to stay cool. We have gone down to 89 degrees finally!

Oh Des! This is so beautiful! I'm sharing this on my blog today! I absolutey love your shift to the belgian linen and aged elm woods. It looks so beautiful, and I'm particularly happy that you shared the journey with me!

Hey neighbor! I'm a Kansas girl, born and bred. Happy to have discovered your gorgeous home and look forward to reading your blog. Come see me sometime at Highpointcircle.blogspot.com. Looking forward to your visit--coffee or tea?

Des,
Is that the Lorraine chair from RH? if so is it in the linen sand or natural??? love it!
What a beautiful home! Just love it!
After spending forever on here....I think I am asking the question you keep getting but there never is an answer to find. Where did you order the drapes? Are they lined? It seems like you are saying no......but they look like they are because of the weight of how they hang. I am looking for some for my house in that color. So funny! I love your style. You do awesome work!
Hello anon-
The drapes are Italian silk and are from Half Price Drapes. They are lined and interlined with flannel. Hope this helps!

THANK YOU. I have been looking on there and trying to bite the bullet and just order without seeing the swatches in person. I think I am going to do solid after years of thinking I wanted stripes. I have five panels to buy and it's scary. Who knew? This is worse than making them and actually cutting the fabric myself.
You have amazing style. I keep looking on here because my husbands family lives in Kansas and they don't have houses like this. I think that is why I am so intrigued. I decorate like you do and they act like I am a circus act when they come to visit. So to see that someone in Kansas gets me is a revelation. I am thrilled!
Where is the couch from? I love your living room!
