A little cottage charmer sconce……

Do you see it?

tole sconce 021

The before:

sconce

The after with just a little paint and the edges sanded…….

sconce 2

--------

I picked this little sconce up this weekend

while at an antique mall.

I knew the minute

I saw at it,it would look beautiful painted.

It’s petite size and

delicate roses with vines were simply irresistible!!!

I didn’t intend on using

it in the living room but as usual

I try to cram all my new favorite treasures into

the one tiny space.

Does anyone else do that?

After my love affair fades a

little I will probably move it to another room…..

or it might stay in the new spot forever….

who knows!?!?!

Have a great week!!!!!

I always put the new treasures in a place where I can admire them... then they get moved to another spot once the love affair dims... I have soooo many tole candlesticks (not gold but the pastel original paint ones) that I would love to paint but wonder if I'm better off selling them to someone who would appreciate them still?

I love candle sconces - yours is gorgeous and the armoire is pretty amazing too.
I used to leave stuff in the same place for years but since blogging, I can't stop moving things around !

I love how you refinished that! That is such a sweet looking old fashioned sconce. It could be used virtually anywhere. I'm sure it will be one of those pieces that you'll use for a long time.

Oh, I passed on one just like that not too long ago! Now you have me kicking myself for having no vision! Yours looks just perfect no matter where it's final home may be.
