Little Details…..

bath b

I’m constantly in awe of the bloggers

out there who whip

rooms together in no time at all!!!!

Me on the other hand…..I seem to move at a

snail’s pace these days.

It seems like it takes forever to find all the right accessories

to finish a room?!?!

I did find this snazzy bottle of hand

soap the other day though while

browsing at TJ Maxx.

The bottle is glass and a very generous size…..

and it looks so

pretty sitting on

one of my old ironstone platters.

Now if I could only find the perfect rug……..

Have a great week!

Divine ruffles……..

Remember when I posted this pic and said I might

need a shower curtain like this one?

I was so completely smitten with all those ruffles

and couldn’t get it out of my mind.

I searched all over the internet looking for a white shower

curtain with all that divine ruffley goodness!!!!!

Imagine my surprise when

I was browsing

Pottery Barn one day and found this one!!!!

They are new so if you need one too don’t waste any time.

Good things tend to not last long on their site.

Pinterest & For the love of a house

After seeing so many

beautiful kitchens on Pinterest I have decided

I need to freshen up my own kitchen! It has looked like

this for quite some time…….

Kitchen Nov 027

Peeking Thru The Sunflowers

I’m off to rummage thru the house to see what I

can come up with!

So, what are your plans for the weekend?

Are you freshening up your nest?

I had good intentions of “freshening” up my kitchen today. I took a plate out of the cabinet and dropped it……It broke into a zillion pieces so into the trash it went. Then I took a cute little sugar pot out of the cabinet and promptly dropped it too. The lid broke into three pieces and the knob broke off too. I managed to glue it all back together but decided I should leave the re-arranging for another day!!!!!!! Please tell me this happens to you too and that I am not alone?!?!?!?!

Tap, tap,tap…….

That’s me…oh so patiently waiting to

move my

antique pharmacy cabinet

from the garage

where it has been for

the last 8 months into the bathroom.

However little details

such as painting

and installing the toity

are getting in the way!

Mine isn’t as fancy

as these……. mine is from

More pillows…..

I decided I wanted a more

look for the sofa the other day.

So, I made two pillows

ruffles for each side.

A little more paint…..

Untitled 2

I sort of feel like a madwoman painting

everything in

sight these days!!!

Or…….. maybe I’m just tired of seeing things

I love sitting around collecting dust because I never found the

perfect spot for them?!?!?!

With a little tweaking and a little re-arranging

I was able to fit several

things into my décor that

been stashed away.

This statue is one of those things……I bought it

a year ago thinking it would look

perfect in my dining room.

 However it was a really

dark grey

color and just seemed odd and

out of place where ever I placed it.

It  then spent the spring, then the summer ……

which led into the fall and then eventually

winter on the covered porch.

Today I brought it in

and decided

to paint it. It took five different colors

of paint and a lot of

to achieve the look I was after

eventually I did get there.

I placed a little crown on her head….

What shall I paint next?!?!
