Many of you remember when this
armoire in the living room got a makeover a couple of years ago.
Originally it was stained and
with a little paint it now looks like this.
-------
-------
Shortly after this armoire got a makeover
another armoire that was
very similar came up on Craig’s List!!!!
It too was made out of teak wood and stained.
We used it in our den for a while but it never fit quite right.
Finally a few weeks ago we
moved it to the upstairs hallway to use as a linen closet.
-------
-------
Here is what it looked like before…..
I had already started the prep work as you can see……….
This armoire is painted a lighter grey
than the one in the living room.
-------
-------
Here is the after!!!!
It took an insane amount of time to
paint all the detail but the result was
well worth it I think?!?!?!
-------
-------
I haven’t finished decorating the hallway
yet so I don’t have an overall pic
to share at this time. Hopefully soon though?!?!?!

The upstairs renovation
project has been a looooooong journey!
A project that was suppose
to take a few months has now taken almost two years.
The master bedroom was reconfigured
during this process since
this room was originally a secondary bedroom.
The master bedroom was
originally across the hall with a bath in-between
these two rooms.
The door to the bathroom was moved so
that the new master
bedroom would have an ensuite bath.
A walk in closet was also added along with new
drywall,insulation, and wiring.

I have had the little cherub hanging
above the mirror stashed away for a couple of years.
I fell in love with it the moment
I saw it but never found the perfect spot for it.
A couple of months ago
I went on a cleaning binge and decided
to just donate the little guy to Goodwill along with a lot of other stuff.
For some reason when the hubby
took everything in he decided not to take the cherub.
I found it a few weeks later still hanging out in the truck.
The funny thing is the minute
I saw it I knew it would be perfect hanging above
the mirror in the master bathroom.
Of course it didn’t look like this…..
it needed a coat of paint!
-------
I didn’t take a before pic but it was just a dark grey color……

Over the last few weeks the water
pressure in our kitchen has greatly diminished……
as in the water was just trickling out.
At first we thought
maybe there was a water main break which is
not uncommon in our small town.
Especially with the
extreme heat we have had the least few weeks.
After a few days passed though
we realized we had water
pressure in the bathrooms so it was obviously
a problem with our kitchen faucet.
After taking the faucet
a part and cleaning it the conclusion was made
that we needed a new faucet.
Yes, after less than three years our faucet was bad!!!!!!
-------
The old faucet in oil rubbed bronze……
The new faucet in stainless steel…….
