Settee inspiration…..

It’s no secret that my house is filled to

the brim with furniture.

My biggest obsession seems to be chairs….. but French settees

are a close second.

I have one in my living room….. and one in

the upstairs hallway.

Trust me though if I could fit more in

my house I would!

Love this one with the gold gilding….so pretty!

Susie found the antique French settee she sanded it down to the original gilt and natural wood. Next it was upholstered in white leather – a great alternative to slipcovers and a great idea for kids!

…..and then there is this one paired with a table!

This one with the cane back is just sooooo divine!

So what has been inspiring YOU this week?

Are you a furniture junkie

like me or do you have amazing restraint?

Dear Des, if only I had more room!
Art, of course, my own and others I collect. I would like to start looking for unique chairs to surround my dining table!

I love the settee paired with the table. I never would have thought of that, but it looks so pretty! I seem to have lots of small side tables in my house. I'd love to find a pie crust table to put somewhere. Very pretty pics!

These are great, Des! I love settees paired with a table. I did that in my dining room; and it was everyone's favorite place to sit!

Des-
I have one that I scored at a nearby thrift shop and I do love the look of them in sitting areas.
Thanks so much for your kind words left on Karena's blog. I appreciate it so much.

Oh, I love these little french couches. I have actually been looking for something like this for my living room. It has to be a bit bigger though, as we have a big family. Such inspiration today. Thank you.

Hi Des, yes I am a chair junkie. I am having a hard time realizing I have no more room for another chair :-( I would love to have put a settee on the wall side of my dining table but I never found one that would work...at least not yet! LOL
