A little blue and white……

Untitled 1

A few weeks ago when we went to the antique market I found this

wonderful transferware  platter.

Untitled 7

The dealer was moving so everything in his booth was 50% off.

I almost squealed out loud when I spotted this huge platter.

When I realized the price was $20 I clutched it for dear life while I carried it

around the booth browsing the other items.

Untitled 2

Originally I planned to use the platter in a stand on my kitchen

counter behind a domed cake plate.

However the platter looked tiny when I placed it there

even though it is quite substantial in size.

Then I decided it would look pretty with my other transferware

plate hung over the French baker’s rack.

As luck would have it I found this plate for $4 on eBay to go

on the other side of the platter.

Untitled 8

I also found these wonderful bone

handled and pewter forks and four white ironstone plates

at an antique shop on the way home.

Untitled 4

Each fork has a little cross on the bottom

and top of the handle.

Untitled 6

Have a great week my friends!

OMG, $20 that is unreal. Those are over $200 usually. Love your other finds, too.

What a pretty plate, Deserae. I have always thought that blue in the home was so pretty. You know, I don't have much blue in my house, so I will have to add a little here and there.
