Changes in the guest bedroom…….

toile12

For quite a while I had a hotel collection duvet on the bed in here. It was pretty but the thread embroidery was not quite the right color. It didn’t look terrible but it didn’t quite match either. So, I finally ordered a new duvet and euro shams in the correct color.

I was a little disappointed when the monogramed euro shams arrived from Ballard Designs……the font of the monogram wasn’t quite what I had in mind. Apparently I boo-booed when I ordered them and picked the wrong font. They are not returnable so they are all mine now!!!!

I honestly thought the “C” in the center was a “G” when they first arrived.

The trumeau mirror got a mini overhaul a few months ago. I finally got the color just right…….I can’t even keep track of how many different colors of paint this mirror has had now?!?! That’s Booger photo bombing…..he has his shirt on since it was a little cool this morning.

I added this wood trim corner guard to the wall……we salvaged it from an old house many years ago. I always knew I would find the perfect spot for it someday.

A different pillow was added to the chair…….

Thanks for stopping in today….have a great week!

Love sweet little Booger photo bombing! Lol! I love your new shams. I actually really like the font. I've never heard of wood trim corner guards, but I love how it looks! It's little details like that that add so much character to a home. :)

Don't be disappointed, the shams are beautiful. I love the font you picked but I understand that sometimes things don't look the way you envisioned. The white plates are perfect.

All of your bedrooms are so beautiful! I always enjoy seeing them. I love the monogrammed shams. Looks like your orchid is blooming nice too. I love the purple mixed with the soft colors in the room. Glad that you were able to get your mirror in the color you wanted.

What an most elegant room for your guests...Sorry that the monogram was not what you expected...that happened to me long ago when I ordered on the internet...now I take mine to a monogrammed to ensure I get the right result...however, I do love the shams...they look great!...and yes, that is definitely a "C"
I love, love the mirror and the pop of color in front of it from the orchid....Such a gorgeous room Des!!!

Des - I think your picture platform is down - it seems like all your own pictures aren't showing up?

I really what you have done here. The baseboards in particular are very good looking. I have been looking for something I could do to spruce the house up without actually remodeling. I think I might put that size of baseboard in throughout and maybe change the color of paint in a few rooms to give the place some life.
