One man’s junk is another man’s treasure…….

I’m not sure why but I am really drawn to architectural salvage pieces……which most people consider to be junk and I of course consider to be treasure!
I have been “collecting” for 25+ years so my house is pretty full but somehow I still seem to manage to squeeze more in! My newest find is this salvaged window frame.

It is a quirky piece…..I love the piece of metal in the center and the braces in the corners!

I’m not sure where it will end up but for now it has found a spot in the living room.

Your new piece is so neat! It doesn't matter where it lands....right now it's perfect.

I love old architectural pieces too but they seem to often be sooo expensive or not for sale around here.

I love architectural pieces too. They can be hard to find too! Yours is great. I like the details and chippy paint on it.

I always enjoy your posts where you share more about your home, Des. It's gorgeous, with the same colors and tranquility that I hope to achieve one day in our little cottage. And the pieces like this salvaged window just add to the beauty.

Great piece Des. Don't you love the history behind old pieces? I would have snapped this up too.

It's so pretty. I love decorating with salvage but it is pretty hard to find in our area. I love its casual elegance.
