Home again....

A couple of weeks ago a lovely couple
contacted us and asked if we would be interested in a
few pieces of furniture that were originally in our house.
Of course we were!!!!
The sofa pictured was part of the third owner's estate and had been in the house for many years.

Of course being a Victoiran
piece it was covered in very fancy fabric.
Anyone who knows me
knows I am not a fancy kind of person.

This is a photo of the sofa in the
front parlor when
the previous owner had it.

I decided to slipcover the sofa to preserve the fabric but
 have it match our decor.
It probably would have been easier to just
 re-upholster the piece...

So happy to have the sofa home again....

Happy Wednesday my friends!!!

Oh, that's a pretty sofa, and I love the design on the wood. It looks great in your living room. I've always admired the Victoria era, the furniture, the framed pictures of the roses with the dark background, the elegance of it all. You did a nice job covering it, and so glad it still remains a part of your home. It looks very nice, Deserae.
