A little birdie……….

 Every year a momma Cardinal birdie makes her nest in the rose bush that is beside our back door. This year because it was so rainy the little nest included weather proofing……plastic from a shopping bag! Of course just like momma birdie makes her nest in the bush the Ivy pops up like clockwork covering the rose bush. It grows so quickly that by the time momma birdie is done raising her little family the poor rose bush is smothered by the Ivy and is almost completely bald. No worries though…..the rose bush will make a come back and by fall it will be covered with blooms again and then next spring the cycle will repeat itself. Who knows though,maybe I will beat the Ivy next year?!?!?!
