A snippet of the laundry room

laundry room 2 002

Originally I was going to take pictures of the

master bathroom to share with you today.

However the toilet bowl cracked late

last night and the floor is now covered with towels!!!!

My husband said he heard

a weird noise while standing in the bathroom

but after he looked around he

couldn’t figure out what the noise was.

Even Teddy was curious

and looked to see what the noise was.

So, looks like we will be shopping for a new toity!

In the meantime here are

a couple of pics of one side of the laundry room.

laundry room 2 005

The  cabinet with doors was leftover

from the kitchen

renovation.

The resident handyman

added the shelves on the right

and topped it

all with crown molding.

---------

I shopped the house to

find things to fill the shelves….

this is what I came up with.

At one time I had

a collection

of antique scales on

the top of my kitchen cabinets…….

-----------

Please keep the people of

Harveyville Kansas in your prayers.

The nearby town

was hit by a tornado last night…..

several people were injured,two critically.

So incredibly sad…….

Hi Des, How terrible about your toliet bowl, I'm sure that's very frustrating! Thanks for stopping by and I'm following you back! ~Marcy @haverfordhouse.blogspot.com

How nice to have a window in your laundry room. Love the accessories. We are in risk of that bad weather here later today. I hope it goes away.

Des, your laundry room is so nice and fresh looking. I wish I had one that nice. Mine will never be shown on my blog (unless I've been drinking - ha!). It's nothing to look at, really. Sorry to hear about your toilet misfortune. Thank goodness it happened when you were home though! That same weather system is headed towards us tonight. Not good! I sure do hate hearing that people have lost their homes and are injured or killed. I will be watching it closely.

Beautiful Des and it's so light and bright! Wish I had a window in my laundry room. This weather certainly has been weird! Yesterday it was almost 60 hear and today it's snowing. go figure! Keeping the people in Harveyville in my prayers. I have family that live in Wichita.

I love cabinetry in a laundry room, Des! It just looks so clean and organized, especially when they are white. I like the one with no doors, too. It makes for a great display area. You might as well have something pretty to look at while you're in there!

Des, your laundry room is so fresh and clean I could nap in it. Mine is always piled high with vintage linens waiting to be washed or hanging to dry. At least they are pretty. I hope your floor survived the leak and it is good you were there at the time it happened. hugs, olive

Hi Des,

Your laundry room is so bright and cheerful.

A cracked toilet does not sound like fun.

I'm sorry to hear about the people who are injured by the tornado.

Wow, that is just too pretty to be a laundry room, awesome!

It is so light, bright and airy!

That storm even came to Ohio - not the tornado part, but last night oh my the thunder, lightning and RAIN- wow!

Then about noon today it was sunny and warm.

Praying for all who were seriously affected by this bad storm.

I can't help but think..... THANK Goodness no one was sitting on the touwlette when it cracked! How could a person ever live that down!

I'm so sorry to hear about your nearby town. Were you close to the town? Your laundry room looks so clean and simple. You really notice the cabinets in there. I love it.

Love it all Des! I always have problem with filling up shelves. We have a set of open cabinets spaces in the kitchen above the built in desk that I have a hard time doing. If we were to stay here forever I would probably just pull the entire thing out and start over. Thanx for coming to the party!! Hope your weekend is going well!
