A new white slipcover for the settee…..

The slipcover for the settee is part of my current project…..

putting the finishing touches on

the hallway sitting area.

Before the settee was up against the wall so the back did not show.

However when I decided to float

the settee in the center of the hallway the ugly

fabric on the back was a real eyesore!

The fabric was a solid teal chenille and did not

match the pattern on the rest of the settee.

So, I opted to slipcover the settee instead of reupholstering it.

The total project cost about $100.

My goodness, you have the prettiest furniture!! I always love seeing what you do in your home. That settee is TO DIE FOR! I love everything about it. The slipcover just makes it! I love the little basket table in front too. Did you make this slipcover yourself?

What a beautiful settee and I love your style. I found your link over at Feathered Nest party. Did you make the slipcover yourself? If so, do you have a tutorial for it? I inherited a Victorian sofa from my mom and would love to make a slipcover for it. It too has the carving all around so traditional slipcovers won't work. Yours is the best I've ever seen. Thanks so much for sharing and please let me know if you decide to share a tutorial.
