My darling husband bought me this pair of sweet little
French chairs as an early anniversary present……… I found them on Craig’s List.
The upholstery was in great condition….just needed
a little cleaning, nothing major.
The chairs were painted a gold color…..but not the beautiful
gilded gold you see on so many antique chairs.
I debated on what to do for a few days and finally decided to paint them.
For the finish I decided on a light grey
paint color with distressing so
that the original gold would still show thru.

paint and a little sanding this is the result:

Oh my goodness!!! I'm in love! They are so amazing. You got 2 very beautiful chairs for that room. I love the way you finished them too. I have a love affair for chairs anyway. I like how they can be moved to any room in the house and just add so much charm to a room. And of course.....they're white! What's not to love?

Whoooooa, sugar, I'm impressed! Hubs did that? I doubt my hubby would even think of checking Craigslist for a gift. I love them though—the chairs, but also Craigslist.
