In case you are keeping track this would indeed be the third trumeau mirror I have made.
The mirror that was hanging in the hallway previously was moved to the guest bedroom and this new one took it’s place.
I came across an antique mirror at antique shop with really great crazing and very little loss to the frame. I used salvaged barn wood for the back and plaster medallions I had on hand with new wood trim to finish things off.
Here things are glued up….not exactly pretty before paint is applied!
For the life of me I can’t remember why I bought the plaster medallions?!?! I do recall I bought them from a lady on Etsy and they are hand made.
I love the crazing on the mirror!!!!
The mirror was painted with two shades of eggshell grey paint and antiquing was added to give it an aged look.
Here you can see the mirror next to the doorway, it is massive in size and took two people just to hang it on the wall!!!
Have a great week my friends!!!!

Oh my, that's beautiful! The size just makes it. When I first saw it I thought how lucky you were to find that. You are so talented to be doing your own and with old mirror.
Beautiful Des just beautiful!

Wow Des...it is just spectacular!...Now you will have me on the lookout for mirrors with the gorgeous crazing. You did a phenomenal job...and love those plaster medallions!
All that beautiful crazing!! You did a beautiful job Des in marrying the vintage mirror and barn wood into one amazing piece.
Happy week!
Awesome! Love it Des!
GORGEOUS Des. This is on my to do list. I want to make a full length one for our bedroom. I want to make a smaller one for a hall

I love it! I like all of your mirrors. You've inspired me to rethink just hanging a plain framed mirror on the wall when it can look so much better converted to a trumeau style. Did you build this yourself or did your husband help out? I was just curious if you knew how to use power tools. I don't know how.
I love trumeau mirrors! The one you made is really cute! I like how the grey background paint goes with the white border.
What an amazing job you did on the mirror! I will have to pin this one. Jo
You did a great job, Deserae. It looks very nice hanging on the wall. I like the eggshell paint that you used.
love, ~Sheri
Des you are amazing! I cannot tell at all that it is not an original antique as it is!!
