TGIF!!!

One of my favorite things about Autumn besides

the crsip mornings is Chrysanthemums…..also commonly known as mums!

Mums come in a variety of vibrant colors and the best part is,

garden mums are a perennial so they will come back every year if planted in the ground.

Mums

I chose purple mums to add a touch of fall to my living room.

When I first brought them home there was not a single bloom open!

It has been fun to watch more open every day.

Love your purple mums! I once planted my mums in the ground after the season and they came back for years. I need to do that again. Buying mums is on my list for this weekend. Love Autumn!

I totally agree with you about Mums, I just can have too many plants. The first time we traveled through New England in the fall, I was amazed at how people decorated their porches. From then on, I was hooked. I buy a new one, or two, each year and plant them in the yard-at our home now, I have five plants-two in the front yard and three in the back. I get sad when the cold weather arrives and they die back, but then each year they come back even bigger. In our back yard we have a purple, yellow and red, in the front yard I have a red and also a yellow and then a straggly one that hasn't bloomed(which I can't remember the color of).
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Noreen

I do love mums during this time of year. I rarely buy them though because they don't last very long. I think it's too warm here. Your purple ones look so pretty in the window sill.

Mums are such a cheerful flower. I remember during Homecoming week at school, the students could buy a MUM for a friend or that special someone. They always remind me of Fall. I bet they look so pretty in your home, Deserae.
