My mother-in-law recently gifted me with a couple of family heirlooms.
This beautiful cake dome was one of the treasures.
The glass is really thick, I was surprised at how heavy the dome is.
The other thing she gifted me was the small wood cutting board.
I also picked up these glass cannisters the other day when we were at the antique mall.
Have a great week my friends!

How nice! That was nice of your MIL to give you those things. I love the old breadboard.
What nice gifts! I adore your kitchen. It was one of my main inspirations for painting my cabinets white and adding the little "feet" at the bottom. Love seeing pics of your beautiful home!
Oh, how wonderful - perfect and practical and awesome gifts from a dear one! You have a gorgeous kitchen!
I have nearly the same granite and stone backsplash - and I have often wondered how light cabs would work in my kitchen and now I know:
perfectly!!!!
Havew a wonderful day!
Family heirlooms are such treasures, aren't they? I love that glass cake dome, and oh my, those cookies look good. Chocolate Chip? I like the glass canisters you got at the antique mall too. Glass containers are a great way to see all the goodies inside. Your kitchen is so charming, Deserae. Thanks for the peek. :)
love, ~Sheri

Hi Des. That is really a beautiful cake dome and the cake dish is gorgeous too. I am so jealous of your cutting boards. I had a few many years ago, very old ones, and then I sold them! Now I can't afford one plus I really don't see them around flea markets and thrift stores now, like I did back then. Your kitchen looks so pretty..Happy Thursday..Judy
