The other day I was looking for antique pillows for the chairs in my livng room. I wasn’t able to find quite what I wanted so I pulled out these white linen pillows I already had.
I decided they needed a little something else so I applied these little monogram letter appliques in white.
You can get the appliques at Hobby Lobby and they come in a couple of different sizes and are also available in black and white. You just iron them on….very quick and easy!

This past weekend we decided to get out of the house and take a little road trip to KC. The weather was nice so it was great to get out and enjoy a little sunshine.
I have wanted one of these little doorstops for years but they are typically pretty pricey. The dealer at the antique shop was having a sale in their booth…..50% off.
However when we got to the register to pay we were informed that the sale signs were in the wrong booth. We decided to go ahead and buy him anyways because he was still a good deal even if he wasn’t on sale.
I also purchased this lumbar pillow from Ballard Designs. The colors are so soft and pretty and go well with the check pillows that I already had.

It took a while but after a few delays the living room is finally finished. I didn’t make any huge changes, just new drapes and pillows. I also bought a different white sofa because I had planned to use the IKEA one that was in the living room somewhere else.
I love the back of the sofa…..so curvy and very romantic!
The fabric is a white matelasse….
The pillows are a blue check and are
monogrammed in cream with our intital and antlers underneath.

A couple of months ago I picked up this altar tapestry fragment.
I knew as soon as I spotted it,
it would make a gorgeous pillow.
Here you can see it rolled up with rosary beads draped over it.
I didn’t have the heart at first to cut it up into a pillow.

Life is short though and treasures are meant to be enjoyed not tucked away.
So, I bought an inexpensive
velvet pillow and applied the fragment to the top.

After cutting the fragment in half, I have just enough
left over to make a second pillow.

I also picked up this little French
marble topped table the other day at an antique shop.
It has made in France stenciled on the bottom……
look at those cute little legs!!!

A little polish cleaned it up……
for $85 I think I got a pretty good deal?!?!

A couple of years ago when we
were in Texas
I bought a few grain sacks to make into pillows.
I never had the heart to cut them up so there they sat nicely folded……..
The other day I finally decided to take the plunge and make them into pillows.
After all….what am I waiting for?
