Spring has finally sprung here….hooray! I cut some vines off the ever sprouting Honeysuckle that is planted next to our front door and put them in this little mercury glass vase.
I picked these two baskets up at Nell Hills a couple of months ago and they fit perfectly in front of the settee. I believe they are offered in her online boutique now if you *need* a set of your very own. They were originally a dark brown and I gave them a quick coat of my grey special blend paint to lighten them up a bit.
The books were one of the treasures we found while in Round Top Texas……they are purely decorative but add that special touch to this reading area.
Have a great week!!!! Chat with ya soon!!!!!

Just love how you've redone your home in the belgium/swedish look. Love how you put things together. The 2 baskets stacked as a coffee table is genius! I always enjoy your posts.
ReplyDeleteDes, the wicker baskets painted look great. I love that clock you have.
ReplyDeleteDes, I dont' think I have ever seen your settee before, I LOVE IT! Gorgeous!

Where did you get your lamps from? I like them.
ReplyDeleteDeserae,
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for a year and just noticed the rattan shades on your French doors. I've been searching for a size to fit my French doors, with no luck. Would you mind sharing where you found them?
Also, I don't supposed you'd share your "gray special blend paint" formula and some hints on how you got your baskets to look so wonderful?
Love, love, love your home. You've done a beautiful job decorating it.
Thanks,
Kerry
