  2. Des, what wonderful shots that were left out. I wish we had that mag here. You will have to share it some time. The dog photos are precious. Surely you framed some of those.

  8. I got mine today & was surprised to find you in Midwest Living! But I do remember the photo shoot a few months ago. Your home looks lovely! And...I realized that you live in the same town as a distant cousin of mine. Her hubby is a photographer & while visiting my sister, we took my twin grandchildren to Melvern for a photo shoot! Small world! Know the Kramers?

  10. Imagine my delight when I saw a fellow Kansas in the Holiday issue of Midwest Living! Even better--she is not far from me--as I live in Osage City!

I loved the feature on you and your lovely home. What a treasure!

I've just become a follower of your sweet blog and am going to take a peek around.

  12. Wow, these are just beautiful! You must be so excited to be featured in Midwest Living!!

I was looking around your blog and learned that you're from Kansas. I wondered if that was the case because of your blog name. My mother was from Belle Plaine in Sumner County--not too far from Wichita. I spent summers in Kansas as a girl--some of the happiest times of my childhood! :)

  13. I love your sideboard. Very beautiful. I love sideboards in general and have two in my house. No hutch in the dining as I just love sideboards. But, I feel like I never put anything substantial enough on them. Yours is a great inspiration picture for this Christmas. Congratulations on your Midwest Living piece.
