Several months ago I bought this bench for the guest bedroom from Ballard Designs. The room seemed to come together at a snail’s pace…every thing seems to be on back order these days! Finally when the cushion arrived it didn’t look so good with the current paint color of the bench which was an antique white.
I know I have a better picture of the bench somewhere but can’t seem to find it right now so this one will have to do I guess?!?!?!
The after…..as in after 4 cans of spray paint! I’m not sure why the bench didn’t seem to want to take the paint but it didn’t cover well at all and took several coats. Industrial spray paint that the resident handyman had on hand seemed to do the trick though! After it dried I did a very light sanding to distress the bench. To be honest at that point I was really over the project and just wanted it to be done.
The overall…..
I’m still looking for a new light fixture….it’s always something isn’t it?
Have a great weekend everyone!!!!!!!!

Wow, it looks great! You have more patience that I would ever have. The guest bedroom is so lovely your guests may never leave!
ReplyDeleteLooks good Des...especially those ballet ties on the legs.
ReplyDeleteI have two monogrammed euro shams on my guestroom bed that look a lot like yours.
Have a great weekend!

Beautiful, Des! (The bench and the room!) I love the serene look that room has. I really love the wall color in there. It is very similar to what we have in most of our house, and I'm very happy with it. Great job!
