I have wanted a little French bistro chair
for ages but have never
been able to find one at any of
the shops around here.
Imagine my surprise when
I found this one
the other day and for only $20 .
As you can see it is
a little on the
wonky side but I can live with that!
The before……
The after:
With a little white
paint and some sanding……
Here you can barely see
some lettering on
the slats on the backside of the chair.
Hope you will consider

Hi Des,
ReplyDeleteJust love your new bistro chair. And your home is simply gorgeous!
Marianne :)
Just lovely Des! It looks right at home!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Des! I think Courtney at French Country Cottage found some at Kmart {or Walmart, one of the two} and painted hers. So you could always go that route if you want more. I love a chair like this in a bathroom holding towels or a fluffy terry robe!
ReplyDeleteI love those kind of chairs! It looks so charming in your home. The lighter color you gave it makes it even better.
ReplyDeleteI love bistro chairs! Like how you painted yours white. I have two blue ones that I just love.

ReplyDeleteI love your little chair & what you have done to it. I have an old wooden folding chair that was my Grandpa's. I've thought about painting it...but can't bring myself to do it. I may blog about it someday & see what someone thinks about it. Keep that warm air coming this way!
ReplyDeleteOh, your bistro chair is perfect!! In my opinion, the wonkier the better. :-) It looks so good in your living room.
