A couple of years ago when we
were in Texas
I bought a few grain sacks to make into pillows.
I never had the heart to cut them up so there they sat nicely folded……..
The other day I finally decided to take the plunge and make them into pillows.
After all….what am I waiting for?
I’m certainly not getting any younger!!!!

Oh, lucky you! I love those. Now you have one-of-a-kind grainsack pillows. Love the blue color. They go perfect in your living room!
Des, well done and I am sure you saved big money doing this yourself. Your soft colors are so soothing. Me, I have color popping out-cannot help it. hugs, olive
Hi Des: So lovely. My sister-in-law gave me a small canvas sack from her family in Georgia that was for peanuts. I think I'll turn it into a pillow one of these days.. Wonderful idea.. Happy Monday..Judy
i love them des! i have some old coffee sacks that need to be made into pillows but i love the grain sacks better.

You did the right thing, Des! : ) They look great. I've started to stop "saving" things and just use them. What am I saving them for? I'm certainly not getting any joy out of things put away in drawers or storage.
First off, Your room is gorgeous, The pillows are the perfect compliment. I love the chairs. Thanks for sharing
Beautifully done! They look perfect on your chairs.
I LOVE them!! They're perfect:) And I do that same thing. I've had fabric for years that I just can't stand the thought of getting near a pair of scissors!!

You did a nice job on your pillows. I was noticing your china cabinet, and I love it! I am decorating right now. I guess it's the spring weather, and I am getting ideas just looking at your pictures. Your house looks so lovely.

They are so gorgeous as is your home. Thank-you for visiting my blog and I am now following yours. Leahx
These are great Des! I have some pillows I need to make but I keep procrastinating since I have never made any before. I am spying your gorgeous stairs in the background. It looks like they do not have a bull nose but are flat. Are they just the planks that were there or are they new treads? I want too redo our stairs and if possible just use the planks that are already there and stain um but hubby is not keen to that plan.
I am still in the hunt for some grain sack pillows.Looks great!
