ReplyDeleteThat's a fun tradition! When we were young and just starting out, we had family giving us new ornaments for our tree. Often times they were dated too. Now, 26 yrs later I have more than I'll ever use especially since we bought a smaller tree this year. That's the first thing my husband asked me was what was I going to do with all of the extras now? LOL! I've just stored them to use in the future if I so desire. Your Santa ornament is very pretty and Gracie sure knows how to pose for the camera!

ReplyDeleteA sweet ornament! We do that too and started the tradition when we got married 31 years ago. I think we missed a couple years but I'm OK with that.

What a neat idea! Those ornaments add up. Every year when we first got married, I would pick up a few ornaments for the tree at a little mom and pop drugstore. We still remember those first ornaments!!

ReplyDeleteI get a new ornament for our tree each year too. My little Yorkies tried to help me decorate. I think they thought that the ornaments were new toys for them. I have a small picket fence around my tree to keep them from getting into things.
