If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.
A little of this and a little of that,
what’s inspiring me this week!
And now in no particular order……
e
Have a great weekend my friends!
Be love.

I have had this old Hoosier helper cabinet for years. I can’t even remember where we got it originally since we have had it forever. For the last ten years though it has been in our mudroom used for storage. I needed a cabinet for the hall bathroom so I convinced my poor husband to help me haul it upstairs. This is definitely not a piece made of pressed wood, it weighs a ton!
It was a tan color so I gave it a quick coat of white paint that I had on hand and then distressed it a little and called it good. I still need to get the handy man to made a leg for the back. Currently it is propped up with a paint can but shhhhh don’t tell anyone okay?
The clam basket on top of the cabinet hold bundles of lavender……the smell is just divine! This room is definitely a work in progress, I guess you just can’t rush things sometimes?!?!? I would like to get the room done soon though…..as in this year!
Have a great week my friends!

Last summer I came across a beautiful crucifix at an antique shop.
I instantly fell in love with it and decided to
add it to my ever growing collection.
e
e
Once I got it home I realized one of the little nails was missing.
So, there it sat waiting patiently to be fixed.
Then I sort of forgot about it until the other day.
It is now all fixed up and hanging in the dining room
above the doorway to the kitchen.
e
e
It has beautiful detailing…..and is worn from
many years of love.

It’s had to believe our sweet little baby girl Gracie
is one year old today!!!
She was such a tiny little thing when we
first brought her home.
e
e
She grew like a weed and
her personality really started to blossom!
e
e
She has a bit of an ornery side but
absolutely LOVES to throw her head back and be
kissed all over on the neck!
e
e
When she was six months old she became very sick.
Thankfully we have a very devoted veterinarian who researched her symptoms
until she was able to diagnose her
with a pancreatic disease that is rare in Yorkies.
e
e
She was so weak she slept
most of the time and became very inactive.
Because of this she experienced a set back developmentally
but has been making up for lost time ever since then!
e
e
She doesn’t have a beautiful coat
like most Yorkies because of her disease.
However what she lacks in hair she makes up for in personality!
e
e
She loves everyone and insists on greeting them with
big wet smoochies!

Happy Birthday my baby girl!!!!
Have a great weekend my friends!

One day the light bulb in this cute little light burned out. After replacing the bulb with three different ones I finally realized that it wasn’t the bulb that was the issue, it was the wiring.
It was the perfect size for the little cabinet in the downstairs powder room. So,my handy man agreed to rewire it for me .While working on it he stepped away to retrieve a part from the garage and while gone the little lamp exploded into a million little pieces!I searched for months to find an itty bitty lamp to replace it and finally found this one.
At $55 it was a little more than I wanted to spend for a twelve inch lamp but it was the only one I could find that I actually liked So,I placed my order and waited patiently for it to arrive. I was so excited when it arrived a whole day early. I quickly unpacked it and set it on the table. My puppy Gracie was being a little ornery and picking on one of the boys so I bent down to pick her up. When I did the bottom of my jacket caught the lamp causing it to crash to the ground and smash into a whole lot of pieces! I retrieved as many pieces as a I could and spent the entire afternoon super gluing the top back portion back together. After gluing my fingers together and a few choice words I finally had it back to it’s original form and was able to paint it as close to the original finish as I could. You really can’t tell it was ever broken unless you look really closely.

Ice formations formed on our
Koi pond over night.
I have never seen anything like this before.
They look like mini ice sculptures.
