A forgotten treasure…..

e

Last summer I came across a beautiful crucifix at an antique shop.

I instantly fell in love with it and decided to

add it to my ever growing collection.

Once I got it home I realized one of the little nails was missing.

So, there it sat waiting patiently to be fixed.

Then I sort of forgot about it until the other day.

It is now all fixed up and hanging in the dining room

above the doorway to the kitchen.

It has beautiful detailing…..and is worn from

many years of love.

  12. My Grandma always had a crucifix hanging in her home. Gives me warm feelings. I adore you posts but was wondering if all the 'e' that I am seeing is really a piece of art you are using on your blog. Before I had an iphone, but my hubby had one, he would text me and end it with a J. Finally I asked him what the J was since his name is Tim. He said it was a smileie face! Now our joke is me calling him J.

  15. That is such a lovely piece. I wonder who carved it? I wonder if the first person to own it received it as a gift for a special occasion?
Thanks for sharing this with us!
