A DIY trumeau mirror…….

I recently made this trumeau mirror for the upstairs hallway…..

mirror 7

It started with an old mirror I bought for $27 at an antique shop about a year ago.

I had the handy man attach it to some old barn wood we had on hand

and then added trim and an onlay to finish it off.

I then mixed up a couple of colors with some paint I had on hand and painted it a soft

grey and added a little brown for age.

The whole project cost about $10o and took around three hours to complete.

The wood onlay was the most expensive part of the project.

Hope to see you there!

  9. I love how you were able to turn a basic mirror into a trumeau mirror! The design you chose resembles mine in my sitting room. That was a great money saving idea too. Trumeau mirrors are so expensive.
