Cluck,cluck,cluck……roosters in the kitchen!

A few years ago I got rid of all my

chickens in the kitchen since they were no longer “in style.”

I instantly regretted my decision and ever since then

they have been finding their way back in.

Over the weekend I found this one

at my favorite antique mall,

Mission Road Antique Mall.

Although he is meant

for the great outdoors I couldn’t stand

putting him out there and

risk him loosing more of his wonderful paint.

Have a great week my friends!!!!!!

Joining the party at:

Savvy Southern Style

Hope to see you there!

  4. This last year I've gotten rid of all my roosters too. If I found one as nice as yours I would add him to my kitchen in a heart beat! I miss my roosters, but I am putting a very large cow sign in my ktchen so I don't want a whole barnyard in there. lol! LOVE your new rooster!

  6. He's a cutie! Sometimes we all have regrets of getting rid of stuff and later realizing we should of kept something. I part with a lot at consignment stores so I at least know it's going to a good home.

  8. Oh Deserae, I know what you mean....I used to LOVE chickens and roosters in the kitchen, but then they kind of went out of style, and I have been wanting to bring them back to my kitchen too! Your chicken looks so cute in your kitchen. It adds a special touch to that space. What a charming kitchen you have.

  10. I too gave away my collection a few years back and am now thinking I should have given them a coat of white paint and kept them. Your new find is a great one!

  11. Oh Des, what a sweet find. He's so pretty. Agreed, he can't be outside.
Sigh... like so many of us, I got rid of my chickens, when we built the new home and moved. I have regretted it ever since. I kept 1 from my Mr.'s grandmother. Slowly he has been getting a brood ...

  17. I love him!!! And anyway, style is about sharing what we love ~ not what others say is 'in' or 'out'.

I have garden statuary bunnies in our cottage that for years were in my garden, and now have a special place in our home.
