The never before seen other guest bedroom…….

We have lived in our home for eleven years and the “other” guest bedroom has always been used for storage. Until recently that is when I acquired my mom’s old bed. This sparked a complete transformation of the incredibly small bedroom.

The bedding is what I was using in the master bedroom but that is another whole post! Almost everything except the chest between the windows I already had on hand.

The room still needs a little tweaking here and there. The truth is, if I don’t share pictures until I feel the room is truly complete I never will!

I found the little French chest at my favorite antique mall. At first I was a little worried it would be too small but it ended up being the perfect size for the small bedroom.

The trumeau mirror is the one I made a few months ago that was hanging in the upstairs hallway. Yes, there is a domino effect going on in the house now.

So this is just a room you threw together with stuff you already had? Are you kidding me?! :) The room is so gorgeous! It just shows what a great eye you have and what good taste, that the beautiful things in your home can work from room to room. Bravo!

You have such great taste, Des! I love how you've decorated this guest room. Seems like I'm constantly having a domino effect in my home too. I'm always switching things around from room to room. :)

Deserae,
Your guest bedroom is so charming, I love it! You know, I have a spare bedroom in my new home and it's small as well. It's one of my favorite rooms - sometimes small bedrooms are so cozy. I think my favorite thing in your room is the teddy bear. I'm partial to them. Oh, and that antique chest is gorgeous.

love,
~Sheri

Actually, the rosary is my favorite. I have a few of my own, and that angel....wherever did you find that? You always find the most wonderful treasures.

Des,
Me again. Do you remember where you got this bedding set. I just love it and am thinking of doing this toile pattern in my bedroom. I love the white trim on the duvet with the toile and the gingham check pillows. Thanks,
Kris

Gorgeous Des, when do I show up, LOL. Gorgeous bed and that mirror is a favorite. We have plans to make one for the bedroom but full length to lean against the wall. That's after I finish painting furniture. Getting that going now

Wow! That other guest bedroom sure looks awesome. I love the color combinations, but your characteristic country style still shines through. The French chest would have to be my favorite part, though. It's gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing that makeover! All the best to you!
