Today I am sharing my favorite project for the year which was the guest bedroom.
At the moment there are no big projects planned for the house in 2015. Most of the projects we have been dreaming up will take place on the outside!
-------
We have lived in our home for eleven years and the “other” guest bedroom has always been used for storage. Until recently that is when I acquired my mom’s old bed. This sparked a complete transformation of the incredibly small bedroom.
The bedding is what I was using in the master bedroom but that is another whole post! Almost everything except the chest between the windows I already had on hand.
The room still needs a little tweaking here and there. The truth is, if I don’t share pictures until I feel the room is truly complete I never will!
I found the little French chest at my favorite antique mall. At first I was a little worried it would be too small but it ended up being the perfect size for the small bedroom.
The trumeau mirror is the one I made a few months ago that was hanging in the upstairs hallway. Yes, there is a domino effect going on in the house now.
Have a great week my friends! Joining the party at:
Hope to see you there!

Beautiful as always Des. I lug the bedding... so soft and soothing. It invites one to snuggle in with a good book.

ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful room. I don't have any guest rooms at the moment but look forward to having one one day. I love that trumeau mirror you made!
ReplyDeleteI love that little French chest, Deserae. And the angel is sweet. You have given me some ideas for a small room because my bedroom is small too, and sometimes we have to be clever and creative with our decorating.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
love,
