Embracing spring…with new pillows!

After reupholstering the chair in front of the armoire in the buffalo check fabric I decided the other side of the room needed a little check fabric too.

So….. I made a little slipcover for the Frenchy foot stool and two pillows for the sofa to tie everything together.

I have sewn a lot of pillows but this was my first time doing them with an invisible zipper.

It was much easier than I ever thought possible. Now I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner of course! I found this great tutorial at Life On Virginia Street in case you would like to add zippers to your pillows too.

You're so lucky that you can make things like that for your home. I love the ballet style ties you added to the footstool.

Yes, it really ties the elements of your living room together: from the couch to the chairs and the table. If you look closely, they even seem like little bows. But seriously, they are a great addition, and they even look like they came with the couch when you bought them. They just fit right with the shape of the couch. Cheers!
