I haven't bought any treasures on Craig's List in ages!
However the other day I found this chair....
The finish wasn't quite right and the
fabric doesn't exactly match anything in my house.
However if I bought the chair that same
day the price was $30!!!
Amazing detail and a great price...can't beat that!
The chair will be receiving a mini face lift so stay tuned!

And.....a little random prettiness......
I picked this Orchid up the other day when I went to the grocery store.
It is my favorite color and makes me smile every
time I walk into the room!

Score! I have never bought anything from Craig list before.... But then, I have only just started enjoying the joys of thrift shops. Baby steps I guess .
ReplyDeleteIf this is an example... I have best take a peek!

Des,
ReplyDelete30.00 bucks, Wow, an amazing find. The chair has stunning details and I will look forward to your refresh of it. Beautiful Orchid and so is the bowl it is in.

Amazing find, you STOLE that chair:) Gorgeous orchid. I assume you repotted it? Love the pot too!
ReplyDeleteI love your new chair! I think it looks pretty just as it is! I can't wait to see what you end up doing with it. What an amazing price too.
ReplyDeleteI have GOT to check my local Craigslist regularly! What a steal! Love your orchid too...that's the best when a flower can bring a smile to your face every time you see it. It's such a happy color too!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the most delightful things, Deserae. I like your chair and can't wait to see what you have planned for it. Love the orchid, so delicate and pretty. I didn't know that was your favorite color. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Wednesday afternoon.
love, ~Sheri
That chair at $30 was practically giving it to you free. It is worth at least $450 used as a Maple hand carved frame. Most likely from the late 1980's as I have similar chairs. Machines don't do that carving. I would snap up any chair like this if I saw it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great deal. I can't wait for the makeover. The orchid is gorgeous. Sadly, I'd probably kill it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful find...and I know it will be more wonderful after you work your magic on it!
