We just finished work on the vestibule over the weekend.
Here is a before:
The wallpaper on the upper portion of the walls was removed and the lincrusta wallpaper and trim were painted white. We also removed the parquet flooring and refinished the original fir floors.

Love old house but always wonder if you have had anything spooky happen? My friends bought an old mansion and had numerous unexplained thing happen. Have you? 😯
