Last week when I shared pics of our mini vacation I
mentioned
I picked a couple of things up at an antique shop.
One of the things I found was this little blue and white jar for
$2.
It is missing the lid and has a couple of chips on the rim.
It matches the little German spice jar that I already had.
I also found this basket…..love the little latch!
I’m not sure what it was originally used for?

I also switched the baskets on the chest in the hallway…..
this one with clam shells has a lighter feel.

Such nice finds! You're so lucky to find that jar that matches your other one, and for such a great price too! Love the blue and white.

ReplyDeleteHi Des,
ReplyDeleteYou came home with wonderful finds. The basket is intriguing and if you find out what it was originally used for I hope you let us know. Love your change out with the shells in the wire basket. The Blue of the chest with the wire basket with shells has such a relaxing feel of beauty and nature. Your design displays always make me swoon.

Lovely finds!
ReplyDeleteWhat great find Des! Love the blue and white jar and to me the chips add character. Your blus chest is lovely with the wire basket filled with clams...makes me think summer. And that basket with great latch would look wonderful hanging some where filled with flowers!

Very pretty, Des. I do not appreciate the days when something I saw was passed over just because it was missing a part! What a dummy! Right? It's funny when you finally figure out everything has a purpose but then it's mostly too late. Live and learn!..Happy Weekend..Judy
