New finds……

 

Today I am sharing a couple of new goodies

I found for the living room.

The first item is this fur I placed on the ottoman.

So incredibly soft……

 

The second item is this chippy shutter I found at the antique market a few weeks ago.

I love the narrow size….it fits the wall just perfectly!

A new chippy ladder…….

 

I found this ladder at a little antique

shop right before Christmas.

I didn’t know where I would use it when

I first spotted it but bought it anyway because I

loved the chippy paint so much.

Then one day it hit me that it was the perfect size

to hold towels next to the bathtub.

Changes to the French baker’s table………

 

I made a few changes to the French baker’s table

in the dining room the other day…..

so I thought I would

share a few pics with all of you!

New sconces…….

 

I found these great little

sconces on eBay and they came in the

mail the other day.

Of course they didn’t look like this….. originally they were stained wood.

As usual I forgot about

taking a before pic until I had already started the project!

I loved the shape and style but the

wood color just wasn’t quite what I had in mind.

So, out came the paint!

Three different colors of paint

  and a little sanding and this is the end result!

Currently they are hanging beside the trumeau mirror in

the dining room but I’m not sure if that

is where they will stay?!?!?!

After I took these pictures my camera died!

There is something wrong

with the shutter so off to the shop it must go!

The other day while out and about we

stopped in at Nell Hills

to see what new goodies they had for spring.

I found this wood capital with great chippy paint!

It found a spot on the baker’s

rack in the kitchen.

I found this sweet little bird nest in our yard

and couldn’t resist

bringing it inside and tucking it under this cloche……

A forgotten about treasure…..

 

Recently while working

on a project in the kitchen I realized I had totally

forgotten to share a little treasure………

my enamelware bread box I found at a little antique

shop several months ago.

I have wanted one for many years and was

so thrilled when I finally found this one for an affordable price!

I love the rust….. and the chippy-ness!

-------

-------

I picked up this Turkish towel a few weeks

ago too from www.westelm.com.

Originally I was going to use it in the guest

bathroom but the background

is more of a cream than white so it didn’t quite match all

my other white towels I am using in there.
